While Peter contemplates what to post next, I thought I would hi-jack this platform and share a thought with you.
Our lives have changed so much over the last couple of months and I find myself either angry or sad most of the times. I have to remind myself for what I am grateful for and what makes me happy. I look at you….. family, friends, teachers, parents at school, people shopping, people driving, people working, people passing by and living there lives… everybody, and I think to myself are we grateful for what we are able to do.
Do we know how lucky we are? Are we grateful?
So here is my list. I am grateful for:
my health
my wonderful loving caring husband
my beautiful clever and happy almost teenage daughter
all our wonderful friends and family
Lalitha – our helper making our lives just a bit more organised
my beautiful loving dogs
seeing Peter smile and laugh
seeing Tallulah smile and laugh
to be able to eat what ever I want and enjoy my food
to be able to eat with a knife and fork without any struggles
to be able to drink without choking
to be able to shower and bath myself
to be able to dress and do my hair myself
to be able to put on my shoes and tie the shoelaces
to be able to put my own deodorant and perfume on
to be able to walk, run and dance around
to be able to climb stairs
to be able to lift my arms
to be able to swim
to be able to scratch an itch
to get off a chair, couch or toilet without any thought.
to be able drive. (otherwise we would have been in @#%%%^ street)
to be able to walk my dogs
to be able to answer the phone and not worry about my the sound of my voice
to be able to sing
to be able to whistle
All of the above we do without even thinking twice. Its the small things in life we take for granted that I am grateful for.

I’d sign under each word Antoinette and that’s what I meant when I said in comments under Peter’s previous post that he changed my life and the way I look at things forever, and I know for sure this has happened to many people that I know who know Peter. We are so grateful now. ❤️

Hi Antoinette,
Thank you for hi-jacking Pieter’s blog and reminding me of what is important in life. This post is so very true, I need to be grateful that I am able to perform the menial tasks of everyday life.
I often do small things during the day and I will think of Pieter who is battling to do the same task, with that naughty smile on his face.
I love you very much. ❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘
PS being a true SA I am sure we can expect some more hi-jacking 😊😂

A wonderfully written reminder of the simple things in life we take for granted…
I am grateful to have met you and your wonderful family, I am so proud of each of you, for your humility, strength, determination and tenacity.
I am grateful for the lessons I have learnt in the true love I see you have for Peter and Tallulah. You have an abundance of love to give to those around you.❤️
I am grateful to have shared the happy and sad times in the three years we have known each other.
I am grateful for the friendship that I know we will have no matter how much time passes or where in the world we are. Your friendship is one in a million!
Thank you sharing

Antoinette,
You are so right about the fact that we take life for granted, even the smallest experience
on our life journey must be appreciated and respected.
We think we know it all and that we can overcome every challenge that comes our way,
or climb the highest mountains all by ourselves, but then the reality of life brings us back
to earth.Only then we learn that we cannot go through life all on our own.
Thank you for all your unselfish sacrifices and taking such good care of Peter.
This can only be accomplished by LOVE.
Mamma en Pappa.

Antoinette!!!
I bow with gratitude unto You,Peter and Tallulah!!!
Thank you for the stark reminder of how important gratitude and every single cell in our makeup as a human is and how precious every single movement of the body is regardless of how minute it might be…
I am deeply humbled and grateful that:
You ,Peter and Tallulah are the ones that came to
Teach me one of life’s most precious lessons…
“Never ever take life nor the body for granted”!!! The other day we went for a long drive to visit family on the Isle of Wight…During the drive Peter came into my mind and just there and then I realised how fortunate I was to be able to drive…Needless to say, it was the most pleasant drive ever!!
Once again….Thank you, thank you ,Thank you..for bringing “Gratitude” back into my awareness..
May you be filled with strength courage and wisdom to walk as the stave that your household Depends upon right now!!! We will always be there to love and support the three of you …No matter what!!!
Please allow me to conclude In Gratitude with the following..
“I am sorry, please forgive me.i love you .Thank you!!!
Namaste!!!!

Dear Antoinette,
Thank you for sharing those genuine words. Each blessing you mention. Each prayer of gratitude. You are right. We forget to celebrate life through its tiniest manifestations. We often take it for granted. And move through it thinking we are eternal and untouchable. Thank you for this moment of lucidity. For sharing.
Sending you and Peter my sincerest wishes of hope and light.
Love. Always.

Love to all ♥
