The small things in life.

While Peter contemplates what to post next, I thought I would hi-jack this platform and share a thought with you.

Our lives have changed so much over the last couple of months and I find myself either angry or sad most of the times. I have to remind myself for what I am grateful for and what makes me happy. I look at you….. family, friends, teachers, parents at school, people shopping, people driving, people working, people passing by and living there lives… everybody, and I think to myself are we grateful for what we are able to do.

Do we know how lucky we are? Are we grateful?

So here is my list.  I am grateful for:

my health
my wonderful loving caring husband
my beautiful clever and happy almost teenage daughter
all our wonderful friends and family
Lalitha – our helper making our lives just a bit more organised
my beautiful loving dogs
seeing Peter smile and laugh
seeing Tallulah smile and laugh

to be able to eat what ever I want and enjoy my food
to be able to eat with a knife and fork without any struggles
to be able to drink without choking
to be able to shower and bath myself
to be able to dress and do my hair myself
to be able to put on my shoes and tie the shoelaces
to be able to put my own deodorant and perfume on
to be able to walk, run and dance around
to be able to climb stairs
to be able to lift my arms
to be able to swim
to be able to scratch an itch
to get off a chair, couch or toilet without any thought.
to be able drive. (otherwise we would have been in @#%%%^ street)
to be able to walk my dogs
to be able to answer the phone and not worry about my the sound of my voice
to be able to sing
to be able to whistle

All of the above we do without even thinking twice. Its the small things in life we take for granted that I am grateful for.
